What should I bear in mind when printing white on transparent film?
When printing white, the print is not made on white, but on transparent film.
White is used as a spot color and must therefore be created specially.
1. create a new layer above the actual motif.
2. create vector areas wherever white is to be printed.
3. create the spot color "white" in 100 % magenta and color the vector areas with it.
4. Make sure that the vector areas and contours are set to overprint.
5. Create a PDF X-3.
Important Note: This procedure applies exclusively to printing on transparent film. For other types of film (e.g., white, frosted, etc.), 100% magenta would also be printed.
