Colors
When printing white, the print is not applied to white but to transparent film.
White is used as a spot color and therefore must be set up specifically.
1. Create a new layer above the actual design.
2. Add vector shapes wherever white should be printed.
3. Create the spot color "white" in 100% Magenta and fill the vector shapes with it.
4. Make sure that the vector shapes and outlines are set to overprint.
5. Create a PDF X-3.
Important note: This procedure applies exclusively to printing on transparent film. For other types of film (e.g., white, frosted glass, etc.), 100% Magenta would also be printed.
